Thailand season paterns

Another post not relating to computers...

From my past life in Thailand, I finally discover the season paterns in Thailand, excluding the southern part as the southern part have no real seasons.

Winter(first half of dry)=DEC–FEB.

Winter in Thailand wasn't too harsh but in the north the winter can be severe to Thai people because temperatures dropped well below 15°C and in mountaintops, temperature can dropped to freezing. In Bangkok winter is hardly noticeable due to the latitude of the city. At this time some trees shed leaves like in the deciduous forests in the temperate regions because the weather is particularly dry.

Summer(last half of dry)=MAR–May.

Summer in Thailand is particularly hot and dry. In the north summers are severe. Temperature rises to 40°C, and the weather is very dry. Unlike in winter, summer is noticeable even in Bangkok, because at this time south-east Asia is tilted towards the sun. Summers in Bangkok isn't so harsh like that of the north, but it is still very hot. I believe some trees regrow their leaves at this time because there might be some moisture for them.

Wet season=JUN–NOV.

Wet season is fine in Bangkok, but is severe in the countryside. Periodic rainfalls caused floods, which costs many lives. Wet season is not so hot as in the summer because south-east Asia is tilting away from the sun. At this time, all trees are richest because it is very wet and so crops and trees can grow. Some trees begin to shed their leaves around OCT or NOV, ready for the dry season ahead just like in the deciduous forests in the temperate regions where trees prepare for the cold winter.
